Welcome to episode 241 of the sounds like a search and rescue podcast, this week, Jake and Peter are back to break down more of our recent Baxter State Park trip where we cover a hike to North Brother and hike Big and Little Niagara from Daicey Pond Campground. Plus Jake and Peter recently got out to Vermont to hike with SLASR sometimes cohost DaveShits. They can update us on all the goings on of the Vermont Section of the AT. We have a history segment on the Wakefield, NH UFO Ice Hole Mystery from 1977 that has a connection to some of SLASRs own family members. Mount Washington is setting up Twin Tower lights to commemorate 9/11, search and rescue news has been busy with a hiker getting lost on Mt. Willard and injured hikers on Tuckerman Ravine trail, Lions Head, Kinsman Ridge and sadly there was a fatality on Welch Dickey. All this plus a recent sunrise hike and trail maintenance on the Baldface Circle trail where I can rate going up the South Baldface ledges via headlamp… I'm Mike and I'm Nick, lets get started…
