Welcome to Episode 227 of the Sounds like a search and rescue podcast. This week our friends Jake and Peter join us to do a shortened episode focused on our recent hike and overnight at the Randolph Mountain Club’s Gray Knob cabin. As part of this trip some of the crew climbed Mount Jefferson and came back to the cabin and a couple of us just did the cabin and out. We will share both perspectives. This episode should give anyone who is curious about staying at Gray Knob or Crag Camp and detailed summary for planning your future trip. Plus you should hopefully be entertained, there were a number of sketchy parts of this trip that we will break down to help people understand some of the risks and safety steps you can take when hiking in the Northern Presidentials in late winter when ice becomes the primary feature on the trails.
